Two of the College’s outstanding sportsmen had early November weddings. Jack Reiwoldt (SVC 2001-04) married Carly Zeigler and Rodney Dann (SVC 1994-97) married Rebecca White, leader of the Labor Opposition in the Tasmanian Parliament. Jack’s accomplishments at Richmond have been well documented and featured in the last edition of OVAtions.
Rod was part of one of the most successful years for sport at the College – 1997 – He was a key member of the Grade 10 premiership team in the Southern Junior Football Association (as well as playing for the Tassie Mariners Under 18 side); Captained the winning Under 16 basketball team in the Southern Schools’ Competition and was stroke of the SVC Eight which won the Under 16 Tasmanian Championship at Lake Barrington. His sporting experiences will hopefully prepare him well for supporting his wife in the most rugged of environments – politics!
