Dr Heath Adams (SVC 1998-2001 – College Captain) is currently working as an Interventional Cardiologist and Senior Clinical Fellow in the Structural Heart Team at St Thomas’ Hospital London. The department performs up to 400 percutaneous (or keyhole) heart valve replacements per year and is the leading referral centre for the United Kingdom. Heath’s clinical speciality and research interest is transcatheter aortic valve implantation, and he was awarded the Dr MG Ciezar Memorial Scholarship in Cardiovascular Medicine from the University of Tasmania for 2019.
Heath graduated from the University of Tasmania with First Class Honours in the MBBS in 2009, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2016 after training at St Vincent’s Melbourne and the Royal Hobart Hospital. The family plans to move back to Hobart with skills learned interstate and overseas in 2020.”
